A Message From The Director:
Welcome to the beginning of Summer!! Aren’t we all glad to see the beautiful sunshine and feel the warm temperatures? Here at the library, the beginning of the Summer Season means Busy, Busy, Busy!!
We are busy getting the hottest titles in Books and Movies out to you ASAP. We are busy getting our children’s department ready for Summer Reading Program and we are busy thinking of new and wonderful programs and activities for all of our patrons to enjoy!! As you know we conducted a survey over the past couple months to see what our patrons are interested in...You all did a wonderful job letting us know what you want, & what you like and dislike. We appreciate you taking the time and we will be going over these and tallying your results. You should see the benefits real soon. Watch for announcements on upcoming programs and activities in this newsletter, on our web site, or in the Local Newspapers. Also, watch for updates on our upcoming Summer Reading Program. We had our biggest sign-up yet and are Very excited to get the programs under way!! Don’t forget to stop in and see us real soon and bring a friend!! We love meeting new people. Have a great Summer!!

Happy Summer!
Summer, the time for concerts in the park, vacations and swimming, and dancing ‘til after dark;
Children with popsicles or watermelon sweet,
Playing at the beach and letting water cool their feet.
Parades with clowns and a marching band-so much to see and do across the land .Intense heat; the fury of the sun-it doesn’t seem to matter-everyone has fun.
Lightning, thunder, and gently falling rain; going to the park to enjoy a baseball game.
SUMMER-the time we look forward to-Happy Summer to all and Good Times for You!

READING PROGRAM
Just a note to let you know that letters will be sent out this month containing schedules and an outline of our program this year. Also for the parents, be sure to come in and get an updated library card for your child/children before the program starts. We have to have a card with all their contact information in case we need to reach you. And last but not least, I will be calling my teen helpers ASAP and we will be scheduling times for you to come in. We will be decorating, making sample crafts, getting the games ready, and much more!! It is going to be a busy month!!
